
“Ca-ca-caracas!” Running at La Guaira Beaches
To complete our first run in Venezuela, we dribbled families lazily returning to the parking lots and bus drivers shouting “Ca-ca-caracas!” to lure Caraqueños to board their buses after having enjoyed a day at La Guaira beaches.

Parque del Este, a haven in the middle of the chaos in Caracas
We ran in Caracas's Parque del Este "running belt", enjoying its heterogeneus attractions: a boat lake, a Xerofítico and a Hidrofítico garden, a water curtain or the corvette used by Francisco de Miranda during his first expedition to Venezuela. All while outside the city streets were chaotic, loud and polluted.

During our stay in Canaima National Park, we ran from La Laguna to Ucaima Falls, and extended our run to reach 8 kilometres by running right next to the airport’s airstrip while planes were landing just a few meters away!
