La ciudad es una mezcla de aguas turquesas, exuberante vegetaci\u00f3n y mercados vibrantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nos propusimos explorar tanto las calles como las islas circundantes, combinando el running con descubrimientos culturales y joyas ocultas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vanuatu es un archipi\u00e9lago de unas 83 islas, de las cuales solo 65 est\u00e1n habitadas, cada una con espectaculares paisajes volc\u00e1nicos y una cultura \u00fanica. \ud83c\udf0b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Port Vila es una ciudad vibrante con mercados coloridos, impresionantes parques frente al mar y paisajes tropicales perfectos para correr. \ud83c\udf3a Nos pusimos las zapatillas y salimos a explorar la ciudad a pie, descubriendo rincones escondidos, calles bordeadas de banianos y la vida local en el camino. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuestra primera carrera nos llev\u00f3 por el coraz\u00f3n de Port Vila, a lo largo del paseo mar\u00edtimo y rodeados de la vibrante vida local. Es un archipi\u00e9lago de unas 83 islas, con solo 65 habitadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El monte Yasur en la isla de Tanna me dej\u00f3 alucinado. Es uno de los volcanes m\u00e1s activos del mundo y se puede explorar con seguridad. \ud83c\udf0b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Me encant\u00f3 aprender sobre la cultura. Algunos lugare\u00f1os creen que es una figura divina que alg\u00fan d\u00eda regresar\u00e1. \ud83d\ude32<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fue incre\u00edble imaginar que historias como estas a\u00fan siguen vivas en el mundo actual mientras visit\u00e1bamos estas islas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Llegada a Port Vila: Primeras impresiones \u2708\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>El vuelo fue espectacular. Hoteles como el Ramada son de f\u00e1cil acceso y el cambio de divisas es sencillo. \ud83d\udcb5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La ciudad a\u00fan muestra las cicatrices del terremoto de diciembre de 2024. Edificios agrietados y terrenos bald\u00edos son recordatorios de resiliencia y recuperaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Explorando la ciudad y la vida local \ud83c\udfd9\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Las calles son concurridas pero animadas. Las tiendas chinas y los mercados locales se mezclan con peque\u00f1os complejos tur\u00edsticos y edificios gubernamentales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paramos en un supermercado para comprar lo esencial. Este es el primero que decidimos correr.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Camino de las cascadas de Mele<\/strong>:Para los amantes de los senderos, este camino conduce a las famosas cascadas y es un <strong>Ruta exuberante y sombreada con terreno suave<\/strong>\u2014Ideal para una carrera larga. \u00a1Esta fue nuestra segunda carrera!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nuestra Ruta de 6,5K \ud83c\udfc3\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Solo ten\u00edamos cinco d\u00edas antes del marat\u00f3n de S\u00eddney, as\u00ed que decidimos hacer una carrera corta. El objetivo era simple: correr ligero. Al final, recorrimos 6,5 kil\u00f3metros. \ud83c\udf1e<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuestro plan era explorar Port Vila primero y luego, quiz\u00e1s, aventurarnos hacia el norte, a la playa de M\u00e9l\u00e9, al d\u00eda siguiente. Los vientos eran m\u00e1s fuertes en la costa, pero refrescaron la carrera. \ud83c\udf2c\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Explorando los mercados de Port Vila mientras corres \ud83c\udf4d<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Comenzamos en el Ramada Beach Resort, ubicado en un imponente acantilado sobre la laguna Erakor. Desde nuestro hotel, la laguna resplandec\u00eda, enmarcada por la vegetaci\u00f3n tropical. \ud83c\udf0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los primeros 2 kil\u00f3metros hasta el centro de la ciudad fueron complicados. El tr\u00e1fico era denso, las aceras estrechas y el humo de los coches era intenso. Algunos postes en las aceras estrechas obligaron a esquivarlos, pero las vistas valieron la pena. \ud83d\udee5\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vislumbramos yates en aguas turquesas y edificios bajos adosados a los acantilados. El terremoto de 7,2 grados que azot\u00f3 Vanuatu dej\u00f3 huella, pero la resiliencia de la ciudad fue inspiradora. \ud83d\udcaa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El paso de los lugare\u00f1os, algunos con camisetas con la bandera de Vanuatu, le dio energ\u00eda a la carrera. La ciudad se sent\u00eda viva, fusionando historia y vida moderna a la perfecci\u00f3n. \ud83c\uddfb\ud83c\uddfa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00a1Mercados!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Llegamos al Mercado Central a las 4 p. m. Estaba tranquilo, pero a\u00fan con vida, con gente local comprando fruta fresca, \u00f1ame, taro, yuca, especias y mariscos. \ud83c\udf49<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Mercado Central es el coraz\u00f3n de Port Vila. Los puestos estaban repletos de cestas tejidas a mano, esteras de pandano, tallas de madera, joyer\u00eda de concha y pareos te\u00f1idos. \ud83e\uddfa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las artesanas eran amables y orgullosas. Su trabajo sustenta a las comunidades locales y preserva la artesan\u00eda tradicional. Junior dijo que hab\u00eda una caminata de 20 minutos hasta las cataratas. Roger me mir\u00f3 y dijo que deber\u00edamos correr. Al principio dud\u00e9. Ten\u00edamos una marat\u00f3n en tres d\u00edas y tem\u00eda resbalar o cansarme las piernas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pero ten\u00eda raz\u00f3n. Perfecto para correr bajo la espesa vegetaci\u00f3n de la selva. Unos aldeanos nos pasaron cargando misteriosamente. Entonces nos topamos con el cruce de un arroyo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nos quitamos los zapatos y nos agarramos a una cuerda para no resbalar. Aun as\u00ed, cada paso se sent\u00eda m\u00e1gico. El agua corr\u00eda por las rocas lisas, como alfombras verdes bajo nuestros pies. El roc\u00edo nos golpeaba la cara. Correr en Port Vila nos hab\u00eda regalado cascadas, selva, vida de pueblo y el oc\u00e9ano. La gastronom\u00eda local es abundante, natural y a menudo se cocina en hornos subterr\u00e1neos de tierra (s\u00ed, como una olla de cocci\u00f3n lenta volc\u00e1nica \ud83c\udf7d\ufe0f\ud83d\udd25).
