Mayo de 2024.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante nuestra estancia en el Parque Nacional Canaima, corrimos desde La Laguna hasta las Cataratas de Ucaima, y ampliamos nuestra carrera hasta alcanzar los 8 kil\u00f3metros corriendo justo al lado de la pista de aterrizaje del aeropuerto mientras los aviones aterrizaban a solo unos metros de distancia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TLDR; \u201cdemasiado largo, no lo le\u00ed\u201d<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a1Solo quiero correr! Ll\u00e9vame a <a href=\"#CanaimaRun\">CORRER<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tengo 1 minuto. Ll\u00e9vame a <a href=\"#CanaimaInfo\">INFORMACI\u00d3N \u00daTIL<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Correr es mi excusa para viajar. Ll\u00e9vame a <a href=\"#CanaimaTrip\">VIAJE<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quiero saber qu\u00e9 leer en el avi\u00f3n. Ll\u00e9vame a <a href=\"#CanaimaBook\">UN LIBRO<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"CanaimaTrip\"><strong>\ud83c\udf0d El viaje \ud83d\udcf7<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pasamos 4 d\u00edas en <strong>Parque Nacional Canaima<\/strong> en mayo para cumplir un sue\u00f1o: ver el <a href=\"https:\/\/dle.rae.es\/curiara\">Salto \u00c1ngel<\/a>. La m\u00edtica cascada, la m\u00e1s alta del mundo con casi un kil\u00f3metro de ca\u00edda, que salta desde \u201cla monta\u00f1a del diablo\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuvimos mucha suerte porque ni el parque ni la cascada estaban llenos de gente. De hecho, estaba bastante desierta (al menos, compar\u00e1ndola con otras maravillas naturales que hab\u00edamos visitado recientemente, como las Cataratas del Ni\u00e1gara \ud83d\ude09).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuestros gu\u00edas nos dijeron que el turismo a\u00fan se estaba recuperando del Covid. Casi todos en el albergue eran de Venezuela, o venezolanos que viv\u00edan en Miami, por lo que pod\u00edamos mezclarnos con los &quot;locales&quot;, por as\u00ed decirlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Llegar all\u00ed \u2013 \u00a1no es tan f\u00e1cil!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuando viajamos, la \u00fanica forma de llegar a Canaima era un vuelo de Convianca desde Caracas que dura poco m\u00e1s de una hora, pero solo vuela los domingos y jueves (ida y vuelta).<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/CanaimaTrip-9-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"Dogs at Canaima Airport\" class=\"wp-image-5316\" srcset=\"https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/CanaimaTrip-9-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/CanaimaTrip-9-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/CanaimaTrip-9-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/CanaimaTrip-9-1536x864.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/CanaimaTrip-9-18x10.jpeg 18w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/CanaimaTrip-9.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Los perros son los residentes locales del aeropuerto.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Entonces tomamos la opci\u00f3n de quedarnos de domingo a jueves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El sobrevuelo \u2013 merece la pena<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>El primer d\u00eda reservamos un <strong>sobrevuelo<\/strong> con un peque\u00f1o avi\u00f3n y Embraer con capacidad para 10 personas, lo que tom\u00f3 35 minutos y nos permiti\u00f3 ver Angel&#039;s Falls perfectamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a1Fue una vez una experiencia \u00fanica en la vida! Poco sab\u00edamos, pensamos, que el d\u00eda siguiente ser\u00eda igualmente sorprendente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El sobrevuelo no es barato (a\u00fan m\u00e1s barato que la opci\u00f3n en helic\u00f3ptero) pero merece la pena. Parece irreal: fuera de este mundo, de verdad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuestro piloto vol\u00f3 magistralmente varias veces, permitiendo que todos vieran las cataratas, y me sent\u00ed como Jimmie Angel, el piloto estadounidense que, si no las &quot;descubri\u00f3&quot;, s\u00ed ayud\u00f3 a hacerlas famosas en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u201cSalto del Hacha\u201d y \u201cSalto del Sapo\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante nuestra estancia en Canaima se organizaron varios tours. Pero finalmente completamos una carrera de m\u00e1s de 8 kil\u00f3metros. \u00a1Lo cual result\u00f3 ser mucho mejor de lo que esper\u00e1bamos!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Del Campamento Cainama a las Cataratas de Ucaima<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Salimos cubiertos con bloqueador solar y con dos botellas de agua que pudimos llevar. Ver, por nosotros mismos, el agua vigorosa caer con estruendo con la selva a las orillas del r\u00edo, fue muy especial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seguimos hasta el peque\u00f1o puerto de Ucaima, en el que hab\u00edamos embarcado las curiaras para ir al Salto \u00c1ngel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuestros relojes marcaban 1,6 km cuando llegamos al puerto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y cuando est\u00e1bamos all\u00ed, empez\u00f3 a llover. El clima aqu\u00ed es as\u00ed: impredecible.
