El evento no es s\u00f3lo popular para aquellos que persiguen el desaf\u00edo de correr un marat\u00f3n en todos los continentes (\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marathontours.com\/seven-continents-club\">club de los 7 continentes<\/a>\u201c). Tambi\u00e9n es popular entre quienes \u201ccoleccionan\u201d maratones como otros coleccionan sellos. Cuando el director de carrera, Jeff Adams, pregunt\u00f3 si hab\u00eda alguien entre nosotros que hubiera corrido m\u00e1s de 50 maratones, varias personas levantaron la mano. Como si de una subasta se tratase, Jeff subi\u00f3 en el n\u00famero \u201c\u00bf100, 150, 200? \u00bfm\u00e1s?&quot; \u00a1Hasta que un chico confes\u00f3 que hab\u00eda corrido m\u00e1s de 400!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yo tambi\u00e9n hab\u00eda venido al viaje siguiendo mi pasi\u00f3n por correr. Aunque mi verdadero motivo era el anhelo de aventura. Pero eso no nos desanim\u00f3 y logramos hacer un par, de los que escribir\u00e9 en un post dedicado a \u201ccorrer en Buenos Aires\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notamos un gran contraste al bajar del avi\u00f3n en Ushuaia. Hicieron que el capit\u00e1n del Ocean&#039;s Victory decidiera pasar la noche fondeado en el canal Beagle. El canal toma su nombre del HMS Beagle, el barco en el que viaj\u00f3 Charles Darwin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De hecho, toda la toponimia de la zona remite a las haza\u00f1as de siglos pasados, con una mezcolanza de h\u00e9roes o villanos. Exploradores, buscadores de fortuna, cient\u00edficos y piratas. En el mapa se pueden leer nombres como Magallanes, Darwin o Drake. Bueno, supongo que quer\u00eda agregar otro desaf\u00edo a nuestra aventura. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como me mareo durante un paseo en \u201cla Golondrina\u201d por las tranquilas aguas del puerto de Barcelona, decid\u00ed cruzar el temible Pasaje de Drake. Y lo hice. Mucha gente andaba por ah\u00ed con parches de n\u00e1useas detr\u00e1s de las orejas. \u00a1El m\u00e9dico de la expedici\u00f3n incluso tuvo que advertir p\u00fablicamente a la gente que no usara 2 parches! Al parecer, algunos corredores buscaban hacer su viaje m\u00e1s \u201calucinante\u201d\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Llegamos a la Ant\u00e1rtida<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de navegar durante m\u00e1s de dos d\u00edas d\u00f3nde se encuentran los dos oc\u00e9anos m\u00e1s grandes del mundo, cruzamos la <strong>latitud 60 sur <\/strong>y entramos en la Ant\u00e1rtida. Aunque los rusos han abierto una tienda de souvenirs en su <strong>Base de Bellinghausen<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ir\u00f3nicamente, son los antiguos sovi\u00e9ticos quienes monetizan la disposici\u00f3n a comprar de los pocos visitantes. La ansiedad previa a la carrera aumentaba exponencialmente. Las sonrisas se volvieron m\u00e1s tensas, el compa\u00f1erismo m\u00e1s forzado y algunos se lanzaron a la barra de c\u00f3cteles \ud83c\udf78. Razonando que les hab\u00edan dado un d\u00eda m\u00e1s de sobra, supongo \ud83d\ude09. El hielo eterno de la Ant\u00e1rtida se pod\u00eda ver detr\u00e1s de colinas de roca oscura, s\u00f3lo salpicadas del color de hongos amarillentos y lagos de aguas turquesas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y tuve la
