Sof\u00eda, Bulgaria.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En esta ciudad, todo parece posible, y casi todo es singular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aqu\u00ed encontrar\u00e1s iglesias ortodoxas, catedrales cat\u00f3licas, mezquitas y sinagogas compartiendo plaza, puentes con leones y puentes con \u00e1guilas que fueron bombardeados en diferentes guerras. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En octubre, el Marat\u00f3n de Sof\u00eda te lleva desde una impresionante congregaci\u00f3n de edificios estatales hasta interminables bulevares bordeados de rascacielos exsovi\u00e9ticos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TDLR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a1Solo quiero correr! Ll\u00e9vame a <a href=\"#SofiaRace\">CARRERA<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tengo 1 minuto. Ll\u00e9vame a <a href=\"#SofiaBook\">UN LIBRO<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"SofiaTrip\"><strong><strong>\ud83c\udf0d<\/strong><\/strong> El Viaje \ud83d\udcf7: Qu\u00e9 ver en Sof\u00eda en un d\u00eda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Llegar a Sof\u00eda desde Barcelona fue f\u00e1cil, ya que hay un vuelo directo de poco m\u00e1s de tres horas. Aunque, a intempestiva hora \ud83d\ude34\u2026 Salimos un viernes por la noche y al llegar intuimos en la noche profunda algunos de los monumentos y edificios hist\u00f3ricos que quer\u00edamos ver al d\u00eda siguiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El s\u00e1bado visitamos Sof\u00eda sin prisas. No quer\u00edamos cansarnos demasiado porque al d\u00eda siguiente \u00edbamos a correr. El centro de Sof\u00eda es f\u00e1cil de recorrer a pie. Empezamos con los famosos. <strong>Catedral de San Alejandro Nevski,<\/strong> obviamente:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" religiosa<\/strong>, llamado as\u00ed porque aqu\u00ed hay una iglesia ortodoxa, una mezquita, una sinagoga y una catedral cat\u00f3lica. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contemplamos lo hermoso <strong>Teatro Iv\u00e1n Vasov, <\/strong>y despu\u00e9s una plaza donde se ubican tres edificios que te hacen sentir como en una novela de John Lecarr\u00e9. <strong>La Casa del Partido<\/strong>, el <strong>Asamblea Nacional de Bulgaria<\/strong> y el <strong>Consejo de Ministros<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" <strong>La Expo de la Marat\u00f3n <\/strong>\ud83c\udfbd<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cerca del impresionante <strong>iglesia de San Alejandro Nevski<\/strong>, el m\u00e1s ic\u00f3nico de la ciudad. Felicitaciones a la organizaci\u00f3n!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>La \u201cexpo marat\u00f3n\u201d no era grande: era una carpa con una exhibici\u00f3n de relojes deportivos y bebidas isot\u00f3nicas, y los mostradores para la recolecci\u00f3n de dorsales de las tres carreras, la marat\u00f3n, la media y los 10 kil\u00f3metros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las chicas que nos atendieron bromearon con la pronunciaci\u00f3n de nuestros nombres: \u00a1\u00a1no parec\u00eda que hubiera muchos extranjeros corriendo!! <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-9-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"The running ginger and Roger in the Marathon Expo of the 2022 Sofia Marathon \" class=\"wp-image-2567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-9-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-9-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-9-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-9-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-9-16x12.jpeg 16w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-9.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a1Preparada para correr!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Algo que me pareci\u00f3 extra\u00f1o es que las camisetas eran unisex: lo mismo para hombres y mujeres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n cerca de la \u201cexpo marat\u00f3n\u201d estaba la <strong>Jard\u00edn Knyazheska<\/strong> y el <strong>monumento al ej\u00e9rcito sovi\u00e9tico<\/strong>, una versi\u00f3n muy reducida de los monumentos rusos que hab\u00edamos visto en Volgogrado, el antiguo Stalingrado, durante otro viaje. Es decir: soldados comunistas muy fuertes api\u00f1ados, uno levantando a un beb\u00e9 y una campesina a su lado. Todo entre espacios vac\u00edos, escaleras interminables y parterres de flores. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-10-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-10-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-10-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-10-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-10-9x12.jpeg 9w, https:\/\/the-running-ginger.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Sofia-10.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Aqu\u00ed tambi\u00e9n hab\u00eda algunos graffitis que no entend\u00edamos, pero por cuyas l\u00edneas enfadadas intu\u00edamos que el autor no estaba especialmente contento con el \u00e9pico homenaje al ej\u00e9rcito sovi\u00e9tico\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"SofiaRace\">\ud83c\udfc3\u200d\u2640\ufe0f La carrera \ud83c\udfc3\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L\u00ednea de salida<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>La l\u00ednea de salida estaba situada en un lugar muy bien elegido: frente al <strong>Galer\u00eda Nacional de Arte<\/strong>, justo en el centro de la ciudad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nos estiramos frente a la preciosa iglesia ortodoxa rusa que se encuentra a pocos metros, <strong>Iglesia rusa de San Nicol\u00e1s (Tsurkva Sveta Nikolai)<\/strong>, dedicado a San Nicol\u00e1s, \u201cel hacedor de milagros\u201d. \u00a1Calentarse frente a sus c\u00fapulas doradas y sus elaborados mosaicos fue genial! Y, por supuesto, pedimos un buen rato como nuestro \u201cmilagro\u201d particular \ud83d\ude06<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" junto a la Iglesia Rusa de San Nicol\u00e1s (Tsurkva Sveta Nikolai)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n en la l\u00ednea de salida disfrutamos del car\u00e1cter curiosamente dispar de la ciudad: entre edificios monumentales (con la bandera b\u00falgara por todas partes) hab\u00eda corredores con sobrepeso haciendo la \u201cpostura del tri\u00e1ngulo\u201d (Yoga) y otros que nos parec\u00edan perfectos para hacer de villanos en alguna de las Muchas pel\u00edculas americanas con fuertes sicarios que utilizan Sof\u00eda como escenario. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEl sicario\u201d (aqu\u00ed un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uH-hQ-78RT0\">video <\/a>al respecto) \u201c\u00a1Londres ha ca\u00eddo\u201d e incluso \u201clos Mercenarios\u201d han usado escenarios de Sof\u00eda!<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"769\" height=\"1024\" 769px) 100vw, 769px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>El sol alargaba nuestras sombras y la temperatura rozaba los 20 grados, por lo que corr\u00edamos en manga corta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, la carrera no estuvo masificada: \u00e9ramos unos mil corredores, unos ochocientos hombres y unas trescientas mujeres (con camisetas de hombre \ud83d\ude42). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La carrera<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Con estas condiciones, ideales para correr, partimos a las 9 de la ma\u00f1ana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un espectador nos anim\u00f3 con un simp\u00e1tico cartel en ingl\u00e9s: \u201cEst\u00e1s corriendo mejor que nuestro gobierno\u201d, y un poco m\u00e1s lejos otro vestido de Jes\u00fas, con t\u00fanica y pelo largo y liso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El circuito es bastante llano, aunque en los puentes hay las l\u00f3gicas subidas y bajadas. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" marat\u00f3n! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de disculparnos mentalmente con los sufridos fondistas, continuamos a buen ritmo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La segunda parte discurre por los barrios exsovi\u00e9ticos y por largu\u00edsimas bulevares que parec\u00edan una mezcla entre la Ronda del Litoral de Barcelona y la nacional 340. Nunca alcanzar\u00edan a los corredores extranjeros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"PDSofia\">PD<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Gracias a un compa\u00f1ero corredor b\u00falgaro, m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s, \u00a1conseguimos la medalla! Un d\u00eda, en una reuni\u00f3n online en el trabajo con una empresa de software con sede en Sof\u00eda, mencion\u00e9 la an\u00e9cdota de las medallas\u2026 y uno de sus ejecutivos, Kostadin (que restaurantes de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vitosha_Boulevard\">Bulevar Vitosha<\/a><\/strong> (eso es lo que hicimos nosotros): muchos de ellos ofrecen platos tradicionales b\u00falgaros ricos en carbohidratos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y, despu\u00e9s de la carrera, no pudimos colgarnos una medalla al cuello, pero s\u00ed recuperar algo de prote\u00ednas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comimos un par de filetes b\u00falgaros impresionantes en un restaurante a pocos metros de la meta: \u201c<a deber\u00eda decir filetes \u201clegendarios\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disfrutamos de nuestros filetes con salsa de foie y trufa y un par de limonadas caseras de mango mientras mir\u00e1bamos por la
